Howell is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and she is certified by the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Howell has worked for TidalHealth since 1999, starting as an LPN and working on the medical/surgical floor. While working there, she went to Wilmington University to obtain her RN degree. She then transferred to the cardiac catheterization lab/electrophysiology lab, where she currently works. She returned to school to obtain her master's degree as a nurse practitioner at Wilmington University and went to work for a cardiology practice.
