You won't find a more caring ad respectful psychiatrist. He has great empathy and he does more than just manage medications.

I am sorry to say that I cannot recommend Dr. Root. I was given medications without being informed of their potential consequences fully. A few side effects were mentioned, but my medical history was never asked for nor taken into consideration. I was not even aware of their neurological function of these meds.In fact, Dr. Root is suspiciously zealous about prescribing them as if he has some kind of agenda other than patient care. As a result, after being unable to get a hold of the doctor, I was in the ER because of the meds. I went through a week of hell. I have never once had suicidal ideations, I am a functional and stable person normally, but now I am experiencing symptoms I've never had, terrifying symptoms. Talk about swatting a fly with a sledgehammer. I am now off of the dangerous medications, but I am still paying the price. And my healthcare funds are now bled dry due to so many out of pocket expenses. What happened to Do No Harm? Perhaps professionals can chalk up their negative reviews to "symptoms of patient illness." Speaking of, Dr. Root was self-assured in the fact that he had me "pegged" in 5 minutes. Well, that's fine. I know better and there are a host of other reviews that know better too.

I did not receive a receipt for payment, there are no staff. Stay away from this operation.

I have been associated as a patient with Dr. Walter Root for approximately three years now. He has taken a battered down depressed young man who had little hope or dreams of a decent future and showed me that I am worth as much as anyone else around in the world today . He has shown me that when bad days arrive he always has puts forth 100% of his book smarts as well as all of his medical training, opinion or suggestions as he puts it...and by damn it always seems to help. He is available constantly, And if need be telephones you at home to check on any progress which may have occurred or is something else needed. He is very kind that way. Furthermore when is with someone else at the office he somehow makes time to get back to me when he knows that I am in need of a little Professional suggestion(s). He is knowledgeable in all Twenty-first century Medicine. Diagnosis, Signs and symptom's, Modern as well as Brand New therapies that he has thro8iguhtl researched to ensure safety and stability where the "the old school was of treatment" are just kind of outdated for our ever changing modern society treatments, and he always believes that with a little work there is always an overall positive Prognosis, in which he ha always steered his treatment and future outlook of any given horrific situation to the exact opposite of what the "OLD SCHOOL" medical doctors have always practiced. What Dr. Root does is a miracle and he shows it in his day-to-day practice whereby he listens to you 100% and he does what I have never been able to honestly come across in my many years of medical therapy compared to other medical do tors that have been tried to only my dissatisfaction and detrition of my condition. .....he figures out the simplest of the simplest things to do in regards to medical treatment in which he only brings out the positive aspects, treatment's of what he knows (he has seen it work and will tell you so.) When you leave his office the conversations, suggestions, therapies, prognosis's, and plan ole just give this a try 'it may seem like it is going to help but let's you and I give it a try and I think you are going to see the changes faster than you could ever imagine. And don't worry, he'll say, I'll be calling to check up on you... You leave his office glad that you had came and your individual therapy has made you feel that you are a bonifide individual who just needs a little help at this moment in time and am not a societal reject that a lot of people so choose to view individual's that have a mental disability in this world. What a great group of people to work with! The staff was sharp, knowledgeable and helpful. I wish other offices trained their staff as well as these are! This provider is really on top of things. They told me about some of the latest treatments available. I felt totally confident I was taken care of by the right professional. After my appointment I felt very relieved and confident in going forward. I couldn't have been more pleased with this provider's thoroughness. I can't think of anything I would have changed about the way the appointment went. This provider is a pleasure to work with! The time and money spent was so worth it. I noticed their credentials displayed on the wall as soon as I walked in. It immediately made me more comfortable and confident that I was seeing someone who was very qualified.

I visited Dr. Root for the first time today. I suffer from severe anxiety. He listed very closely to my issues and he seemed to take great concern in getting me better. I have visited many doctors of his profession over the years and for the first time I felt like a person and not an appointment in his book. It was refreshing. I felt like I can count on him to do everything he can to help me get better. I feel like if anyone can help me, he can. Ladies, gentlemen, he is worth your time and your money. I went in his office in tears and I came out feeling like there is hope. He could be an angel. I'm not convinced he isn't. If for no one else, he is certainly mine.

I felt safe under their care. I didn't doubt their motives at all. They have really great customer service here. They always put their customers first, regardless of the situation. Every time I come here they always remember me by name and greet me as soon as I walk in the door, even if it's been months since my last appointment. They are so thoughtful and amazingly sweet, I just love this place. They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places. They went out of their way to make me feel special and respected, and were very sympathetic to my situation. I've never seen more kindness and empathy anywhere else.
