Nice place for family members to be there long hours while someone is in hospice. Everyone's case is different. Was a bit shocked how much morphine was constantly being suggested and given to patients. My mother never took aspirin - morphine was out of the question. Following her wishes of that- let us have a happy 50th wedding celebration with her right there in hospice. She passed 4 hours after we left. That was a joy. We all were laughing speaking of our tales from the past while she participated and counting how many thousands of days 50 years of marriage actually is . We laugh today and say " wow- Mom went out with a bang!! This type of thing could only have been done in a hospice; not a hospital room. In laughing , we had hours of not focusing on the health issues only. That was a wonderful blessing. Thank you Pax Christi( She passed at 5am.)
