Weekdays you can't find a parking spot. You have to provide your own TV, cable service, and phone line. Summer they use fans and portable swamp coolers. It's a very old and run down facility. Personal items go missing frequently to never be found or are found weeks later (Go figure!) You will always have a different CNA. High ratio of CNA to resident (often) and CNAs are often rushed. CNAs and LVNs are great for the most part but I suspect nepotism is a part of their hiring practice. Management is hostile, unprofessional, and lacking in competence & abilities.

They don't deserve the Medicare 5-star rating. Friendly and nice to get you in then they ignore you and become unresponsive (phone messages, emails, faxes, written messages, and face-to-face), or extremely slow to respond. Unprofessional, uncollaborative, rude, & will outright lie and violate your rights. They yell at people, blame the resident first then the family second. The owner and administrator are hands off and will actually tell you, "I don't want to hear it" regarding your issue. The owner is on 8 months probation for Medi-Cal fraud. They hire San Francisco attorneys and settle court cases before going to trial. Check the court records. High number of complaints filed each year with state licensing. On paper they say the administrator and the DON run the place but reality is that all issues go through a terrible social services worker named Phonechia and manager named Keith, whose CNA license was denied by state licensing. These two are the front line with major CYA attitude. All the social services workers have a CYA attitude. You will have to fight and argue for basic stuff. Check court records, state licensing, go to meetings, and talk to several visitors who have known the place for at least a year.

They were explained, but not thoroughly

This was the worst environment have ever been in. It was mad house with the inmates yelling "F" words and the staff yelling back. The food was outrageous
I cannot believe this was a recommended facility by UC Davis
I would never want to step foot in this place again!

Doctor (including referred specialist), PA, and nurses are fantastic. Facility is old and several patients are very noisy. Insulin training was very good. Dietary consultations and instructions were not accomplished during 3.5 week stay prior to discharge, although specifically requested and promised before admission, thus selection of this SNF. Wallet returned from safe outside of sealed envelope in which submitted.
