You know, he did doze a bit during the sessions. He made some suggestions to me about myself that could only be interpreted as incompetence; it was kinda like, "are you sure you have the right chart, Dr. Moron?" I guess he's okay for middle-aged, menopausal women who need someone to vent to. Certainly not blessed with creativity or foresight.

I have seen Dr. Hanssmann for just over a year and feel that he has played a significant role in helping me through a very difficult time. He is an exceptional listener and challenges me to grow. I feel safe sharing my feelings and emotions with him. I am grateful to him - in the last year, I have experienced several personal successes that would not have been possible without his kind and thoughtful support.

He is reasonably priced, but does not take insurance.

In the middle of my consultation, he fell asleep on two different visits then blamed me for boring him. I didn't feel like the advice he gave me was in my best interest and made demands at the beginning of therapy that I had to agree to or he would not see me (no - they were NOT sexual). His advise and reasons for even seeing me felt very slanted and biased. As far as puntuality I've never had to worry about him canceling my appointment -he does not have staff. He has always been very reliable as far as appointments, but that is it. When comparing them to others in their field, I would say he is by far the worst I have ever seen. I will never return. I never trusted him, I continued to see him only because with the insurance I have it is nearly impossible to find someone that will accept it.
