I took my 85 year old mother to Dr Sexton for her second visit with him to have ear wax removed. Her first visit had been at least 6 months earlier. Upon arriving I turned in her insurance cards to the office personnel. We waited around 15 minutes and my mother had to make a bathroom visit. After the bathroom visit, it was then at least 15-30 minutes past our appointment time. She walks with a walker and has to have assistance with instruction in the bathroom. I was then called over and told that her insurance did not cover Dr. Sexton. and I told them that she had not had not had a change in insurance since the last visit which was in the same year. And they had a copy of her insurance card in the file (same one) from the last visit. the office personnel did not have an explanation and just said it wasn't covered. I then said I want to pay cash and they would not permit me said it was against the law to pay cash. I told her I would go to the parking lot and call the insurance company which I did. The insurance verified that he was on the list and said he would put me on hold and call them to tell them. He came back to me and said he told them they were on the insurance list. I then called them back and they put me back with the office manager and she said that I did not offer the correct card and I told her I had not been billed for the previous visit and asked her if it got paid and she said yes it was paid but it took 4 months to collect payment. I do not understand that either. The whole thing sounded like dishonesty to me and I perceived that there was another reason that he would not see my mother who was his previous patient. I think it was because her visit was delayed by her needing to go to the bathroom. I could not understand why so it was the only thing I could ascertain reasoning from. I am his patient also and have been to him two times myself once for vertigo and once for wax removal from my ears. I told the office manager that I would not see him again. This was a horrible experience and it was horrible that it all seemed to be lies. they should have in my opinion apologized to me and told me to bring her back in to the office because we were still in the parking lot. Ear wax removal takes about 5 minutes. I will not ever go to him again and will offer to anyone who ever asked me this incident and if they ask me if I know a good ear doctor I will tell them to stay away from him and will explain what I have explained to you. It was terribly rude and I now wonder what other patients think of him.

Absolutely, even the bathrooms are handicap-accessible

Definitely! I saw it as soon as I walked in!

Not at all, their office smelled fantastic!

Immediately! They gave me a friendly greeting as soon as I walked in
