I went to Serenity Day Spa and Salon for my birthday and received a massage, facial, pedicure and hair cut/style. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. They started me out in the sauna which was nice until I was still there long after the sauna shut off until a lady finally came in and said "oh, you came in too early, your appt. wasn't until 11:30" when my appt. was at 11 not 11:30. I was frustrated and disappointed by then. The massage went well and was relaxing, the only thing was they didn't give me any water when your suppose to drink 8oz after getting a massage and I ended up with a headache before I left the spa. The facial was nice and I enjoyed it. The pedicure was done in a relaxing setting. Then it came to my hair. When I made my appt. I asked for a hairstylist that is good with curly/frizzy hair and she said ok. Well...the hairstylist acted like she never touched curly hair in her life. She put a volumizer in my hair before diffusing it (I have enough volume in my hair for 2 people), after the diffuser my hair was frizzy and all in my face. I was pretty upset expecting to get a nice hair style for my birthday, the hair stylist said "is that good" I just ended it and put in up in a ponytail realizing she had no idea how to style curly/frizzy hair. My hair looked better when I first got there than when I left. I would not recommend this spa to anyone. I should have just went to Scarlett's Retreat, they have larger rooms and their staff are very friendly but I thought I would try somewhere new, guess I won't do that again.
