Jason Heffley, MD is a gastroenterologist at the University of Vermont Medical Center, as well as an assistant professor of medicine at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont.
Dr. Heffley believes that everyone has a unique story, so he strives to gain a deep understanding of each patient’s individual needs in order to provide the best care possible. His goal is to make his patients feel safe and welcome, help them access the testing or treatment they need, and allow them to leave with more knowledge than they arrived with – whether they meet in the clinic or the endoscopy suite.
Dr. Heffley performs a variety of specialized procedures, including ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, colonoscopy, upper endoscopy (EGD) and endoscopic mucosal resection. His research interests include medical education, peptic ulcer disease and health disparities.
