J & A Family and Implant Dentistry

As trained medical professionals, our dedication to maintaining a safe environment through rigorous infection control procedures is at our core. We know that moving forward our commitment to your safety will be even more important. While continuing to meet traditional CDC and OSHA requirements, we are adopting some new, additional protocols. For example, we might wear additional PPE, request you wear a mask to your appointment, or take your temperature upon arrival. We may also ask you to wash your hands, request you wait in a treatment room or your vehicle instead of the waiting room, or request that you call in payment after your appointment. J & A Family and Implant Dentistry is your go-to practice for comfortable, caring dental treatment. For questions about what we can do for you or to schedule an appointment, call our office at (512) 213-9791.

Extremely poor billing and service. I gave two dental plans for service and a Cigna savings plan. I spent over two hours finding a dentistry that subscribes to all three. My primary insurance did not cover the new films because they were done less than one year from before. J&A does not accept films taken from another dentist. However, my secondary dental would have covered the charges but they set me up with a dentist that does not subscribe to my secondary insurance. Other dentists in the dentistry do subscribe to Aetna. As a new patient with my insurance cards before an appointment, they should have told me that they made an appointment with a dentist who does not subscribe to my secondary insurance and the films will not be covered until one year has passed. They have sent me two bills for the same amount of money with no details or dates of service almost a year after my appointment claiming to pay immediately as I am past due. I wonder by looking at State statutes if they can send bills with no details or dates of service and charge full amounts even though they did also know I had a savings plan that listed them as subscribers at the time I first saw them. They say they do not accept the savings plan anymore, but at the time of service, they were listed as accepting. This is the worst service and absolutely does not sit well with me. I feel cheated. They should have told me upfront as a new patient that they are setting me up with a dentist in their office that does not subscribe to my secondary plan and the primary plan will not cover films and new patient exams until a year has passed from the last time I had those done. I then could have made a different decision.
