We offer comprehensive psychological assessment and testing services for families who are concerned that their child may have an Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, learning problems, or other related disorders. We currently serve individuals from birth through 17 years of age. We also provide re-evaluation services for children and adolescents who already have previous diagnoses of ASD, ADHD, or a learning disorder for families interested in updated information on their child’s current functioning.

All psychological evaluations include a detailed interview with parents, psychological testing with your child or teen, and a meeting to discuss results of the assessment. Our assessment methods are tailored based on your goals for your child, and the plan for the psychological evaluation will be discussed with you at the end of your first visit to our clinic. Please see below for a list of our psychological testing services.

Individual Therapy
Dr. Pawich is currently providing individual psychotherapy services for tweens and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Adolescents and their families often seek individual therapy services for a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem problems, social skills development, decreased motivation to engage in daily living tasks, and relationship difficulties.

At Cocoa Beach Child Psychology, we use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and behavior therapy, which are evidence-based therapeutic techniques that have been proven effective for individuals with ASD. CBT focuses on teaching individuals how to use coping skills to change their behavior and alter their environment so that they are able to practice their coping skills. Therapy sessions may also include parent involvement, in which parents learn strategies to help their teens learn new skills to foster their success at home, school, and in the community.

Sessions are typically for one hour per week. For new therapy clients, please note that the first appointment lasts typically for 90 minutes and includes an interview with the parents.
