About
In April 2011, Rosemarie started her own consulting practice, The Healthier Plate. She provides nutrition education, cooking instruction and chef services to individuals on special diets. She authored an e-book titled after her business, The Healthier Plate, which is a how-to guide teaching healthier eating habits.
Rosemarie graduated with a Master’s degree in Health Education and Promotion and a focus in worksite wellness. While finishing her Master’s, Rosemarie wrote a grant proposal on obesity prevention programs at the workplace.
In 2009, she was awarded the New York State Dietetic Association’s Outstanding Dietetic Technician Student of the Year award and also served as a student liaison for the organization. She received a scholarship that same year from the Westchester County Dietetic Association. Rosemarie continues to stay an active member of both organizations.
Rosemarie enjoys community service. She was a Sunday religious education instructor during high school and college. She demonstrated exceptional involvement with volunteer work and fundraising through the Westchester County Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Food PATCH by organizing programs for Health Awareness Day, breast cancer awareness, as well as participating in the Martha Sloan Greenawaldt Mentoring program for young women. In addition to her challenging coursework in dietetics, Rosemarie displayed leadership as President of the Nutrition Club and also held a position in the student senate.
