If pathetic middle-aged women who mistreat and abuse their clients were an Olympic sport, Michelle Bear would be a gold medal champion! Her unprofessional digest is characterized by her habitual deception, manipulation, passive aggressive, and a bevy of mind-games she uses to ridicule, demoralize and disparage the very people she's supose to "support "!

I moved to Maine, desperate too escape extreme poverty and domestic-violence. I arrived, homeless and struggling to live with various cognitive disabilities. Friendless and family-less, I needed someone to help me adapt and connect me with the tools I needed to become self sufficient. Unfortunately what I got was Michelle, a woman with the emotional repitoire of a 12 year old! An Adult Case Manager at Community Health and Counseling Service.

All it took was 2 meetings for Michelle to begin divulging intimate details of her other clients getting evicted, getting arrested, getting into fights, going to jail abusing drugs etc. But that wasn't enough for Michelle. She had to take it a step futher and viciously bastardize her own peers within the social service network.

She openly slammed and mercilessly bashed the director of the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter citing; " she had the audacity to call my supervisor and tell her I was deliberately giving misinformation to one of her patrons". Michelle had some very colorful things to say about the director. No of which were appropriate conversation for any of her clients.

When I began to be come weary of nauseous verbal defamations I turned my focus to our professional boundaries and she turned her discontent to me. Not returning phone calls, missing and canceling appointments, giving me the cold-shoulder, rolling her eyes, being flippant and sarcastic and on and on.

I attempted to repair our relationship by gifting her a framed piece of my art for Christmas. But, my gesture was a synoptic misfire. Michelle's behavior continued to deteriorate continuously stepping up her passive aggressive shenanigans. When my own mood began to sharply turn I decided it was time to sever ties. I contacted her supervisor requesting that she inform Michelle her services were no longer needed and not to contact me.

A couple months later while passing out cards and candy to all of the women I knew (in honor of womens history month) I decided to do the same for Michelle. A gesture of-no hard feelings, we weren't compatible but I wish you well. Several women within CHCS recieved the same compliment.

Any client, past or present can access information from their files at any time at CHCS. Almost a year later I required sed information so I contacted Michelle and left a message that I needed to ask her a question. So instead of returning my call and answering a simple question, Michelle see's this as an opportunity to be petty and vendictive over being terminated a year ago.

The day I received a vulgar phone call from her supervisor saying, " we don't want to talk to you, we don't want to see you, your weird, we don't want your phone calls and stop calling us". Something she would repeat at least 4 times during the duration of our phone call.

During her rant the supervisor falsely accused me of saying terrible things about Michelle which was a complete and total lie! One that was probably fed to her by Michelle! Michelle Bear is one of the most manipulative and disingenuous people I have ever met in my entire life and I have lived in 7 states and more than 2 dozen cities.

Michelle's disgusting behavior is served with a complimentary side of institutional racism. I was never permitted to give my side of the story. I was instantly vilified, no questions asked, while Michelle retreats into sad defenseless white girl mode being persecuted by the big bad Black man who looks like a Persian. Her phony transparent disposition only serves to consolidate the woman that she is and the woman that she isn't.

Michelle Bear is a nasty pile of white trash whose character deserves to be wiped on a sheet of tissue and flushed down a toilet!

Community Health and Counseling Service is a mausoleum of men and women who are the difference between education and ignorance. Most people leave their "service" worse than they were when they arrived! Perspective clients, get your needs met elsewhere. And stop making donations to this organization. Your money is subsidizing the salaries of individuals who are abusive to the clients and/or simply don't care. I was one of their clients and this is a first-hand account and an example of how this company treats it's clients.
