I have been going to Dr Gleason for yrs. I have 11 dogs (all rescued) and most are special needs. All my dogs have gotten the best care. The staff is awesome w/wicked sense of humor. Dr Gleason even listens to my suggestions to alternative treatments, most other vets would roll their eyes and try to belittle me.

The prices are very reasonable.

I recommended this vet to my mother for their low costs spays and neuters. She called to set up an appointment for a low-cost spay for her cat. When she came to drop off her cat for her appointment, also specified that she was there for her cat’s low cost spay. They admitted the cat, not mentioning any need for a coupon. When she came to pick up the cat, she was handed a bill for $87, rather than the $35 she was expecting according to their advertised low-cost price. When she asked what was wrong, she was told she had to have a coupon to receive the low-cost price. She was so flustered and upset that she just paid and left, and called me later. There was a reason my mother went for a low-cost spay, and that was because money is extremely tight for them. That extra $40 is a huge deal for them. She was in tears when she called me asking what happened! I went to the vet’s office myself to see if I could get to the bottom of it. They again told me that she should have had a coupon. That is fine. The coupon can be printed from the website; my mother would have brought it no problem when she came to pick up the cat if she had been aware! I was told that if my mother wanted to know how much her cat’s spay was going to cost, she should have asked. She should have asked! Of course, she would have asked if she had been given any reason to think that there was a need to! When she came to drop off her cat, she greeted the receptionist with “Hello, I am here for my cat’s low-cost spay.” And they said yes, of course, and admitted her! So she had no reason to believe that her bill would be anything different than the low-cost spay. I strongly suspect that leading her to believe that she would be paying one price, but then charging another is illegal. However, I am not a legal expert so I cannot say for sure. What I can tell you, without a doubt, is that the way my mother was treated was dishonest. I will not be bringing my pets to this vet any longer, and I will not be recommending this office to anyone ever again. I hope that extra $40 they swindled from my mother is worth the business they will lose.
