I Went to this doctor for an unexplained pain in my right side. Immediately upon entering the room with my chart he was very defensive. He kept telling me to stop going for testing "there is nothing wrong". Well i'm not going to just sit around and do nothing! He would not refill my pain medication (the only thing that kind of helped.) He kept saying it was anxiety, so I took the clonazepam he prescribed (its definitely not anxiety, because the pain came on even when I was sleeping happily. I tried the stuff anyway).. well it didnt make any difference but made me tired with the pain still there. I followed up with him a few weeks later. During the visit I requested a ct scan (which he refused) and he actually said patients like me are what "makes heath care costs go up." I have a high deductable insurance that hadn't even kicked in yet, I was willing to pay for the test out of my pocket, the pain was so bad! Would highly recommend you see someone else. After months of pain, a doctor gave me a hida scan, only to find out my gallbladder ejection was basically 0. It was also found to be chronically inflammed with microscopic cholesterol stones. Thanks for not helping me Dr. Halsey.. or even a referral to someone that could. Just because someone is anxious at the doctor about their condition doesn't mean they have an "anxiety problem"
