They answered most of my questions but I could have used more information. Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me. I felt like my needs were mostly met, but they didn't make any extra effort. The office was easy enough to find. If I were in some kind of an emergency I'd go back. Otherwise, I'm going to look for something better. I've seen Dr. Holley for over 2yrs & he's been treating my chronic intractable back pain. about a year ago there was a local drug bust & his name was on alot of the prescription bottles that were seized at various known drug locations. Since then, he's been trying to rid himself of all pain patients in order to limit his exposure to charges of running a "pill mill" which is unfortunate & inconvenient for those of us who truly need medication for pain relief in order to have a more productive & fulfilling life. I abided by all of the conditions of my "pain mgmt agreement" & still he's terminated my medication. His office visits are also the longest duration I've seen anywhere, with an average of 2-3hrs from sign-in to departure. He does seem to genuinely care about other aspects of my healthcare, like cholesterol, liver function etc., but he left it up to his nurse to break the news to me, when she handed me my scripts, that he'd no longer be giving me pain meds. I find that to be unprofessional & unethical to treat one's pain by dosing 60mg Oxycontin twice daily & 10mg Percocet 3xdaily & without weaning that person down & with no explanation to tell me he's going to order MRIs & EMGs in order to re-assess my condition & not even mention stopping my pain meds while he "re-evaluates me". I also told him I'd be out of town near the end of Sept. so he'd consider that when scheduling my MRI & EMG & he replied, "Oh it won't be happening that soon, it'll take a while to schedule". Are you kidding me?? If I can't get those things done in a 2wk window, then there's a problem. Something is happening with Dr. Holley & I like him, but I need to have my issues addressed, that's why I see a doctor.
