I have been a patient of Dr. Burnett's for 10 years. Some of that time being self-employed as a jack of all trades handyman. This sometimes makes it hard if not impossible to pay for your health insurance. I must admit I don't go to the doctor as often as I should. When I had insurance of course I went and took advantage of the annual wellness visit that is usually included in the basic well care package offered by insurance companies. To make a long story short it's been probably a year since I tried to make an appointment with Dr. Burnett, New Bern Family Practice is the facilities employed with. I called to make an appointment and they would not see me. Reason being I was an inactive patient. Thank you, New Bern Family practice

My husband went to Dr. Burnett and was very unsatisfied. He walked away feeling like his concerns hadn't been listened too and unhappy with the rushed, cut-me-off-mid-sentence-to-give-me-his-opinion feeling. Dr. Burnett's final diagnosis was a generic response and an offer to call us with a reference in 5-6 days for another issue. We ended up spending quite a bit for this office visit and found it was not worth our time and definitely not worth the money. Will not be going back.
