I have panic disorder, dentist anxiety and horrible teeth. That particular combination turned into being a disturbing cycle of not going to the dentist because I was afraid, and then wanting to go even less, because I hadn't been, and was afraid of being yelled at or humiliated.

I finally bucked up the courage and researched dentists online. I have to admit that I chose Dr. Tebbenkamp's office mostly because it was close(ish) and offered a really good range of services (from dentures and braces to fillings and cleanings and veneers), and accepted every danged dental insurance out there -- mine, of course, included.

It was super easy to get the appointment made, and they mailed my new patient paperwork to me, so I didn't have to fill it out there. One less thing to worry about is a good thing. A really good thing.

When I got there, I signed in and handed over my insurance card. I wasn't left waiting for more than *maybe* 10 minutes. The hygenist was super nice and chatty, noticed I was nervous right away and did her best to put me at ease while I was having x-rays taken.

When the dentist came in I was surprised to see a *really* young man -- the son Tebbenkamp. He knew I was nervous and went out of his way to help me relax. In fact, he was so nice that he nearly made me cry.

I was not once berated about the state of my teeth, I was reassured that they were perfectly worth saving, and that I should be proud of myself for getting in there. He promised to take care of me, and you know? He has.

If you're afraid of the dentist and waffling? This is the place for you. They are AMAZING.
