I moved to North Port in 2013 and have tried several vet offices in town during my search for the type of vet I had up north. This office has a professional environment with a human medicine feel. I was impressed by the services offered and the intelligence of the staff and vets. The prices seem reasonable for this area but less than what I pay up north. Something I have learned the hard way in this area with vets is many are not up to date and you get what you pay for. So glad to have found this place for my Mindy.

Was time to find a new, permanent veterinary home for Sadie the Wonderdog. I couldn't have been more impressed with our entire experience at Groves Veterinary Clinic. Professional, kind staff (who squeezed me after scheduling my appt on the wrong day), beautiful office (read nicely decorated and CLEAN here!)...and go figure, a really reasonable charge for excellent services.
We're in, Groves, and I will commend you to all my local friends!

Myself and my wife cannot have children, and have elected to make our two Jack Russell Terriers our family. We are both in the medical field and for years have wondered why human medicine was so far behind Veterinary...In our mind these our our "children", and deserve the same treatment....went to two other local places and was offered what we felt was "Band-Aid" medicine or the wait and see approach...We brought out pet in for vomiting and anorexia for 48 hours (BTW he likes to eat whatever he can get his paws and mouth on)...Thank God that Dr. Groves and his staff offered the appropriate testing; which by the way the other two practices didn't offer...Dr Groves diagnosed my dog with an intestinal obstruction...in laymans terms his favorite stuffed Beaver toy which he chewed to pieces got stuck in his intestines...If we would have done what the other Vets recommended there was a very good chance our son would not have made it....So we are hoping there is a lesson learned for the very few negative reviews (yes we did our homework) that were posted by upset clients..Our oath as Doctors and support staff is to first do no harm...we as practitioners do not save lives by using the wait and see approach....we dig for answers, and yes this costs money. We thank God for Groves Veterinary Clinic...Top of the line medicine, caring staff, beautiful facility, and FINALLY a place that bring Veterinary medicine into our century. They'll get it for you, but you have to ask several times before they actually do it

Not at all! I've never seen my pet so calm. They really have a gift with animals here.
